+ Areas of Focus
Standard sessions are 50 minutes. Longer sessions can be accomodated when planned for in advance. I typically meet with clients on a weekly basis. However, more or less frequency may make sense depending upon your needs. Please allow for additional time either before or after your first appointment to complete a few necessary forms.
Certain documentation is required for anyone seeking my services. I will provide these forms for you to complete when we meet. Please allow for additional time either before or after your first apppointment to complete these forms.
I require 24-hours’ notice if you need to cancel your appointment. I bill for same-day cancellations.
Our discussions will be kept confidential within the limits of the law. Please refer to my Notice of Privacy Practices for more information. If you would like me to communicate with someone on your behalf, you will need to complete an Authorization for Use/Disclosure of Confidential Information.
+ Fees & Payment
My current fee is $150.00 per 50-minute session. Longer sessions are prorated and discussed in advance. I accept cash, check, debit, and credit cards, and payment is due at the time of each session.
I currently accept Anthem Blue Cross insurance. For other insurance plans, I am considered an out-of-network provider and I can provide a statement of services for you to submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement. Prior to your first appointment, please verify coverage for outpatient psychotherapy (sometimes called behavioral or mental health services). Additionally, you may want to ask about your annual deductible amount, how much has been met, co-payment amount, and if pre-authorization is required before starting psychotherapy. If pre-authorization is required, you will need an authorization number, start and end dates, and total number of sessions authorized.
When it is in your best interest or when the therapeutic needs are outside the scope of my expertise, I will refer to other qualified providers in the community.
